1. The service

BiteBid provides one-time paid promotional placement on a public directory for food businesses. Higher settled USD totals appear above lower totals. If totals are equal, the business that reached that total first stays above.

Promotional totals do not decay or expire. Displayed positions can change whenever another business makes a higher promotional payment.

2. What a payment buys

A payment buys advertising and promotional placement only. It is not a prize, wager, investment, loan, deposit, ownership interest, account credit, stored value, or withdrawable balance.

A payment does not represent a review, quality score, recommendation, popularity measure, or endorsement by BiteBid.

3. No performance guarantee

BiteBid does not guarantee how long a business will hold any position or promise any number of impressions, visits, clicks, enquiries, customers, sales, or revenue.

4. Business submissions

When submitting a business, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have sufficient authority or rights to provide its name, description, logo, address, and links. Do not submit unlawful, misleading, infringing, or restricted content.

BiteBid may correct or remove content that is inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or contrary to payment-provider requirements.

5. Payments and delivery

Payments are one-time charges collected in USD through Stripe. The promotional service is delivered after successful payment confirmation by increasing the business’s recorded total and updating its placement.

For an existing business, the amount charged is the difference between its settled total and the new total selected at checkout.

6. Refunds and payment disputes

A changed position or lower-than-expected traffic is not grounds for a refund because no specific position or business result is guaranteed. BiteBid will review duplicate charges, technical payment errors, unauthorised payments, and refunds required by applicable law.

A refund, reversal, or chargeback may require the associated promotional total to be reduced or removed.

7. Availability and changes

BiteBid may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. These terms may be updated prospectively; the version presented when a payment is made applies to that purchase.

8. Responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, BiteBid is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, or business outcomes arising from ranking changes or reliance on a listing.
